For nearly 20 years Macon County Guide Service has offered some of
the finest whitetail deer hunting in the south. With Alabama's deer herd
estimated at nearly 1.5 million deer, Macon County along with Bullock
County is located in the heart of the states whitetail population, and
is easily accessible from Montgomery, AL.
Years of proper management assures some exciting hunting action in a
variety of prime habitat.
Comfortable accommodations and a down-home atmosphere make your stay
that much more pleasant.
Although Alabama's deer season runs Oct 15 thru Jan 31, we limit the
amount of hunting activity allowed on the property.
Archery hunters are offered two separate 5-day hunts during the
last week of October and the first week of November. Four hunters
max on each of these hunts.
Rifle hunters take to the woods the first Saturday before
Thanksgiving, a 4 1/2 day hunt is offered. Our next hunts begin the
first week of January, ending January 31st. Four 5-day hunts are
offered during the month of January. The property is left alone
during the month of December helping to minimize the pressure and
increase success for our January guests. Six hunters max on each of
these hunts.
