Location:  Southwest Alabama - Located in Choctaw County Alabama, our whitetail deer population is one of the largest in the whole state of Alabama.

Offering:  Whitetail Deer, Eastern Turkey, Wild Boar and Quail hunting.  30,000 acres of privately owned, trophy managed property.  Deer Hunting at Water Valley is some of the best in the South. With over 30,000 acres to hunt, the lodge can offer every type of terrain: clear cuts, winter food plots, hardwood stands, young pine plantation, thinned pine plantation, swamp bottoms, and hills with mixed timber.  Affordable hunting packages available.  Hog hunting is another great sport available at Water Valley. Location:  2500 private acres in Tuscaloosa and Hale Counties in West Central Alabama.  Hunts easily accessible from Atlanta GA, Nashville TN, Birmingham, Montgomery, Memphis, TN and Jackson MS.  Most hunters us the Birmingham Airport when flying in.  NEW:  Hunts in the Mississippi Delta - 2,000 acres in Coahoma and Quitman counties (archery and black powder only.)  Offering 2 areas enables us to provide 2 peak rut hunting opportunities!

Offering:  Alabama Trophy Whitetail Deer, Turkey and Rabbit hunting in February.  We are hunting 2,500 acres of prime Black Warrior River Bottom Hardwoods and farm land.  We have been under a trophy or quality deer management program since 1977, and guiding deer hunters for 23 years, since 1982.  We offer hunters a chance to hunt and take a 115 B&C to 150 B&C + Gross buck.  Our guideline for a trophy buck is it has to have an minimum outside spread of 16-17 inches or a basal circumference of better than 4 inches.  Over the years, my hunters have been 50% + on the shots taken on these kind of bucks!  Here at Black Warrior, we offer a hunter a chance to hunt quality bucks for 1/2 to 2/3 less the cost to hunt in Texas, Canada or the Midwest.

Accommodations:  We have a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath cabin with kitchen and living area with a satellite dish TV.  For married couples we have a private suite with bar, microwave and refrigerator.  Both have central heat and air.  We offer meals on most hunts with continental breakfast on your own and hot made from scratch home-cooked meals for lunch and supper.

Alabama Trophy Whitetails - Black Belt Region

Offering:  Whitetail Deer Hunts, as well as Turkey and Hog Hunts.  We have 25+ Biologic Food Plots and 50+ tower stand box stands and ladder stands.  This property has been trophy managed for the past 10 years and has produced bucks scoring 120-160 B&C in the past and is showing signs of plenty of BIG BUCKS for the future!  We only allow a limited number of hunters per hunt to keep the pressure down and the hunters successes high.  We also provide lodging and transportation to and from the field on all hunts.  We try to keep the number of our hunters to 6 people per hunt, so book your hunts early to insure the best dates. 

Accommodations:  Lodging can be provided in our rustic 3 bedroom 2 bath house located on the hunting property. The house is fully furnished with all the modern amenities of home including satellite TV.  The house is set up to sleep 6 people.

Alabama Hunting:  

With an estimated population of over 1.5 million whitetail deer, the state of Alabama has a generous hunting season. The general gun deer season is 73 days long and archery season extends over a 109-day period. In addition to the 1 buck per day bag limit during gun season, one additional unantlered deer may be taken during the Hunter's Choice season.  One buck or unantlered deer may taken daily by archery hunters and one buck and/or one unantlered deer may be taken daily by muzzleloader during the special 17 day muzzleloader season.  Landowners that participate in the Deer Management Assistance Program are issued unantlered deer tags that may be filled at anytime during the season. Alabama has also become one of the nation's premier states for hunting the Eastern wild turkey, with ever increasing numbers, the opportunity to harvest a trophy bird is better than ever during the 42 day season.
