Location:  Trophy Black Bear hunts are ran 4.5 hours north of Edmonton in Alberta's Stoney mountains.  We have over 3000 sq miles to conduct our hunts. This area is all exclusive to our clients, and no other outfitters in this area. This gives us the edge in providing trophy class bear hunting.

Location:  Central Alberta, Canada

Offering:  Elk hunting, Whitetail and Mule Deer and Moose hunting. 

Our Elk hunting takes place in the mountains in WMU #418 during the bugling season.  This zone borders the east boundary of Banff National Park.  It has good Elk population with opportunities to take trophy bulls 6 point or larger.  Our Elk hunt is conducted both on foot and horseback, and our base camp is comfortable and provides good home cooked meals.

The second type of hunt can be individual or combination for Deer and Moose.  The hunt is typically 1 week long.  Our area has a high population of Whitetail, Mule Deer and Moose.

Location:  La Crete, Alberta in Northern Alberta.  Most fly into Edmonton or Grande Prairie and drive to La Crete. 

Offering:  Spring & Fall Black Bear Hunts, Fall Moose Hunts.  Bear hunts are conducted daily from the base camp by four wheel drive to the river and then by boat. Bait stations with tree stands are used. Spot and stalk hunts are also available if desired. The season runs from mid-May through mid-June.  The bears in our area come in various color phases, ranging from blond to chocolate brown and black. Bears have been taken in the last couple of years ranging in skull size from 18" to 20 6/8". (NOTE: This is a 2 bear area.)

The moose hunt has a brand new lodge complete with hot showers. Four & six wheel drive vehicles are used to and from camp. The season runs from mid-September through mid-October. These dates coincide with the moose calling season.  The moose range in size from 30" spread to 55" with an occasional one going to 60" or better.

Accommodations:  We have just completed construction on our new remote Moose hunting lodge.  Our Bear base camp is a 55 ft. trailer unit complete with gas heat.  Hot showers, delicious meals, generated electricity - All our hunts are All Inclusive - no hidden costs.  Includes Hunting Licenses, Transportation from airport and while hunting, meals, lodging, guiding, game recovery and capeing.   There is a 5% GST cost on all hunts and a $500 charge for a second bear if desired.

Location:  We are located in southern Alberta with majestic views of the Rocky Mountains and the abundance of wildlife our area is famous for. 

Offering:  Mule Deer, Whitetail, Elk, Black Bear and Winter Coyotes.  We specialize in trophy mule deer with either rifle or archery equipment. Also archery elk in the rut, rifle hunts for whitetail in the rut and spot & stalk spring black bear hunts are also available.  This part of Alberta has an amazing population of mule deer. We start in early September with the archery season hunting bucks in areas that have a mixture of agriculture and grassland. This is an amazing opportunity to harvest a large Pope & Young buck when they are in bachelor groups and in a regular feeding routine. With little to no hunting pressure at this time of year the bucks will be less wary allowing us great stalking and shooting opportunities at trophy bucks.  Our archery elk hunts take place during the heat of the rut when we have our best chance at the biggest bulls.  We wrap up our archery season in the middle of October, and then we are getting ready for Rifle season.  Whitetails are during November and usually range from 125-150", but the chance at a true giant is possible.  Mule deer are on a draw for Alberta resident hunters and this is the reason our clients can hunt for a true trophy.  Non residents hunting with us are guaranteed a tag and do not have to draw.  In the winter months come join us on and exciting coyote hunt where we will call these cagey predators into shooting range!

Offering:  Moose, Black Bear and Bison hunts - As seasoned bowhunters, co-owners Ben & John are now bringing their experience and knowledge to the hunting industry with Birch Meadow Outfitting. 

Bison Hunts - We offer both wild and domestic Bison (Buffalo) hunts.

Moose Hunts - We'll start out on ATV heading 20km into the forest of the Buffalo Head Hills, we'll be also be using four and six wheel drive vehicles to and from our campsite. We'll be tenting overnight and using our extensive hunting history to guide you through the terrain. Local moose range in size from young bulls to 60" spread.

Spring & Fall Bear Hunts - We'll be using bait stations with tree stands. Spot and stalk hunts are also available upon request. Come out with us during the spring, from mid-May through mid-June, or during the fall through the month of September.  Bears in our area come in various color phases, from blonde to chocolate blonde, or dark black. Skull sizes also vary, but easily range from 18" to 21". Please note that this is a 2 bear area.
