Whitetail Deer Hunting Trips in the Heart of Big Game Country - Alberta,
Canada! Alberta Native Guide Services Ltd provides the
ultimate whitetail deer hunt and can include wolf and coyote hunts as
well! Also Black Bear and Moose hunting available.
If you want an opportunity for a trophy buck, as nearly all our
hunters do, come hunt with us! Hunting in Alberta gives the best
opportunities to sight and shoot a trophy whitetail deer. First, we can
hunt one half hour before and after daylight, and, further, we can hunt on
private land, with permission, as well as government land.
I prefer to give all my customers a prime hunt in the most optimum time
while the whitetail deer are in rut. This is the only time the big bucks
become vulnerable. If a trophy sized whitetail deer is your goal, it is
imperative that you maximize your chances by coming during the rut. Record
books indicate the majority of the big whitetail deer taken in Alberta are
shot in November during the rut. This is the only time the big bucks
become vulnerable.
While many outfitters allow their hunters one deer and the hunt is over,
ANGS includes hunting for coyote and wolf, along with the whitetail
deer hunt. We want you to enjoy your hunt for as long as possible - your
ten day hunt is a ten day hunt, it's what you should expect. Fishing is
also available in most areas at no extra charge, with the exception of the
license. That is the extra value that you get with Alberta Native Guide
Services!

Spring Black Bear Hunting in Alberta
6 Day Spring Bear Hunt:
We offer 3 spring black bear hunts each for 6 days starting in the
beginning of May. Each of the three hunting guides takes two hunters.
The hunts are for two (2) black bear, wolf or coyote. The shots are
anywhere from 50 to 200 yards.
Alberta, Canada is renowned for its abundant black bear population.
With one license and a two black bear limit, chances are great that
different color black bear can be taken. We offer wolf and coyote
hunting during the black bear hunt, provided we have available
allocations. There would be an extra cost for the provincial
license/tag only.
While on your black bear hunt you will see a tremendous amount of
wildlife plus the breathtaking scenery that Alberta Canada has to
offer, there is simply nothing better. In the 2000 season, we had
fifteen hunters take twenty-one bears on our spring black bear hunts.
The hunting experience was appreciated by all involved!
We use the "Spot and Stalk" method of hunting black bears.
Like most other black bear hunters in Alberta, we have used bait of
one form or another, in the attempt to get the hunter a quality shot
at a bear. However, we decided, it was becoming less like hunting and
more like waiting. We are, after all, hunters and "the hunt" is much
of the enjoyment of the whole process. It was becoming difficult
convincing both myself and others that sitting in a tree waiting for a
bear to come along to get something to eat, was hunting. With the Spot
and Stalk method we actually go out and look for black bears by
driving around the bears habitat in pick up trucks and ATV's. Once
spotted, it's back to good old fashioned hunting, as we stalk them to
within a good shooting range.

Trophy Alberta Canada Moose Hunts
10 Day Moose Hunt:
In 2002 we will be doing two (2) ten day hunts during the first
20 days of November, with Sunday being non-hunting days. In 2000
five hunters got five moose in four days! In 2001, six hunters
got 4 moose! Hunting moose in November is best as the moose are
in better shape and the meat is much better than when the moose
are in the rut. In November we usually have snow and the leaves
are off the trees by that time. With the ground frozen and the
snow, it makes tracking the animals much easier.
In most of the areas we hunt moose, we also have allocations for
mule deer, black bear, whitetail deer, wolf, and coyote. In the
event that a hunter fills his moose tag early, we don't consider
the hunt over. We will sell him an allocation and tag for
another animal and the hunt would continue for the duration at
no extra cost other that the price of the license and tag. This
is dependent on the number of allocations remaining. Another way
we seek to give our clients better value for their money.
The Hunting Method:
The moose hunt is done largely by foot. This means
walking. Even
so, it's not a particularly physically demanding hunt. The
walking is very slow and not overly tiring. In some areas we
also use ATVs, and depending on the snow conditions, snowmobiles
can also be used. All moose hunts with the exception of one
area, are on a one to one basis.
