Our lodge is located one and a half hours north of Wichita, two and a half hours west of Kansas City, and approximately 9 miles southwest of Junction City Kansas, only 7 miles south of I-70.   Tallgrass Lodge has access to over 5,000 acres of wildlife habitat specifically managed to produce trophy whitetail, and an abundance of upland birds and turkeys.  We are also near by Topeka, Abilene, Manhattan and Junction City in Geary County.  Hunters use Kansas City International Airport. 

Offering:  Whitetail, Turkey, Upland Birds, Dove, Duck and Goose as well a predator hunting.  We see whitetail bucks in the 150 to 170 class every season and several bucks in the 190 to 200 class have been seen on our properties. Location:  We are approximately 40 miles west of the Wichita Mid-Continent Airport. Our 5000 acres of privately owned hunting property is near Hutchinson, KS and Wichita, KS, and hunters use the Wichita Mid-continent Airport. The properties are a mix of CRP, grassland, cropland, and wooded creek areas.  Irish Creek Outfitters is in Unit 15. We do have property in Units 5, 6, & 13. Before you apply in the April Lottery, you should check with us to help decide which unit to choose for the adjacent unit. If you book a hunt with us early & do not draw a permit we will guarantee a 100% refund.

Offering:  Kansas Deer, Upland Birds, Turkey, Duck & Goose hunts - All deer hunts are 5 days, semi-guided. You may bring your own tree stand, ladder stand, or ground blind. We have stands and blinds available with advance notice. We have facilities to help process your kill.

Excellent free range quail and pheasant hunts from mid Nov - Jan.  There are excellent hunting opportunities for ducks & geese from local farm ponds, Cheney Lake, the Arkansas River, and the Ninnescah River.  When seasons overlap, combo Upland/Waterfowl hunts are available.

Our lodge rental in Abilene provides a convenient location near Fort Riley, Salina, Junction City, Manhattan, and Milford Lake. Our hunting locations are near I-70 and I-35 for hunters travelling throughout the Kansas region!

Offering:  Whitetail Deer and Turkey Hunting, Predator Trapping.  Our deer stands are prehung throughout our hunting areas and are located within prime whitetail travel paths! Our stand locations are monitored throughout the year to determine the best placement for trophy whitetail deer activity. Our hunts are semi-guided. We deliver you to your stand site each morning and provide you with a detailed map of other unoccupied stand locations within your hunt area. Our Kansas Turkey Hunts take place in Unit 2 of the Kansas Turkey Management Map. The Rio is the predominant bird found in our area, but there are a large number of hybrids and Easterns available. The Kansas hunting areas that we utilize for Turkey hunting have had little to no hunting pressure - the birds are not call shy!
