Mississippi Whitetail Deer Hunting at Cypress Lodge: The fertile soils of the Big Black River basin of north central Mississippi provide the backbone to support one the worlds greatest Whitetail Deer herds. Mississippi boasts over 2 million deer statewide. The local area is one of the most dense, averaging over 50 deer per square mile. That is around one deer per 10 acres. Wade, and the rest of the professional staff at Cypress Lodge Outfitters are continually searching for that perfect stand location for nearly 75 safe and comfortable stands. They employ the latest techniques, as well as personal innovations to insure that your stand is in the most productive area. Your success and comfort are TOP PRIORITY !!! The approximately 5000 acres of privately owned hunting land managed by Cypress Lodge Outfitters is the "creme de la creme". The trophy management practices employed by the biologists at Cypress Lodge Outfitters insure not only a healthy herd of large numbers but that there are plenty of mature bucks roaming the thickets as well. The density of the population combined with that of the cover make Cypress Lodge Outfitters an ideal destination for archery hunting. The many food plots and natural feeding areas offer a variety of hunting situations for gun hunters as well. The season opens October 1 and lasts until January 31. Mississippi Duck Hunting at Cypress Lodge Waterfowl hunting has recently become a favorite at Cypress Lodge. The rich Delta farmlands are famous for duck hunting, and with over 5,000 private acres to hunt, we have plenty of ducks every year. Mallards, Green Wing Teal, Widgeon, and Pintail are a few of the species that you can expect to see. Our duck hunts are very affordable as well. Only $250 per day, and as with all our hunts, comfortable lodging and delicious meals are included. |
