Dark Timber Oufitting in Colorado

Dark Timber Outfitting provides incredible Elk and Mule Deer hunting on the Uncompahgre Plateau. We hunt in GMUs 61-62 on BLM and National Forest lands on about 100,000 acres. The vast landscape provides excellent habitat for our Elk and Mule Deer. The elevation is 9600'. We use 4-wheel drives and ATVs to get to hunting areas then travel on foot as we hunt your trophy bull Elk or Mule Deer.

Dark Timber Lodge

Our Beautiful Lodge features an incredible location with breathtaking views of mountain meadows and wooded areas right between units 61 and 62. Warm yourself after hunting all day by the raised hearth fireplace and enjoy delicious home cooked meals. Enjoy homemade deserts and - satisfying sack lunches out on the hunt. Rooms are either bunk style with private accommodations available. Newly remodeled bathrooms and kitchen.
