HUNTING FLORIDA:
Florida has the
largest system of public hunting lands in the country and a
58-day general gun season on Wildlife Management Areas (72 days
on private lands). The most sought after game in Florida are
white-tailed deer, eastern and Osceola turkeys, wild hogs,
migratory game birds, bobwhite quail and gray squirrels. Florida
also offers alligator hunting on selected waters for resident
and nonresident hunters who submit applications and are selected
through a random drawing.
