Huckleberry Ridge Hunting Preserve is located in the north-eastern part of North Carolina in Edgecombe, Carteret, Beaufort and Halifax counties. We hunt along the banks of the Tar River, Deep Creek, Fishing Creek, Bond Creek and Pamlico Sound. We have over 3000 private woodland acres. This prime habitat offers excellent opportunity to hunt Black Bear, Whitetail Deer, Wild Turkey, Dove, Upland Game Birds including Quail, Pheasant and Chukar Partridge.
Whitetail Deer: We have over 56 hunting stands strategically placed near food plots and game trails. We monitor deer activity through trail cams and will do our best to insure you a great hunt!
Black Bear: Hunted for a week in November and two weeks in December in Hyde County - we have a growing population for nice-sized black bear!
Wild Turkey: Natural food and water sources combined with food plots and safe roosting sites maintain an excellent population for Wild Turkey.
Duck Hunting: We hunt Hog Island Point and along the Tar River for a huge variety of waterfowl including Brant, Tundra Swan, Canada Geese, Pintails, Bluebills, Redheads, Canvasbacks, Sea Ducks, Mallards, Wood Ducks, Widgeon and many more.
Upland Birds: We offer both released bird hunting and wild quail and pheasant. Our upland bird hunts are fantastic for family, group or corporate get-a-ways.
