Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Hog Hunting

Come hunt the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina and hunt one of the longest seasons in North America. We have over 13,000 acres of private land that has been trophy managed for well over 10 years. Hunting areas easily accessible from Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Florence and Columbia, South Carolina. We cater to archery and gun hunters, and also youth and family hunts.

Waccamaw Hunting Services has the distinct honor of receiving the 2003 North American Hunting Club Outfitter of the Year! Over 450 outfitters from the US and Canada were eligible for this award, and we are blessed to have the support from our clients that made this possible.

Rick Grubbs, being a third generation professional hunting guide, was raised in the world of hunting, game & property management and understands the vital importance of providing excellent customer satisfaction for his hunting clientele. Rick says, “I’ll put our repeat customer percentage up against anyone in the Nation! We strive for quality not quantity as we only take 5 guests at a time for deer, 4 for wild hogs and 2 for turkeys, to ensure quality game to be available to each and every guest that hunts with us. Our hunting property consists of corn, peanuts, and soybean fields, hardwood bottoms, pine thickets and transition areas. We also provide the game with food plots and because of the number of deer we have, we are able to legally feed them as well.”

One important aspect of providing an excellent Whitetail Deer Hunt is keeping the pressure on the deer very low.
We do this by not over-hunting the property, by limiting the number of hunters to just 5 on the property at the time and not interrupting the game in their natural routine.
We also rotate the stands we hunt, hunt with the wind and hunters stay in the stands or blinds during the hunt. This ensures each hunter will have a fantastic opportunity to take the big buck they’ve come to hunt!

WINTER HOG HUNTS from Jan through mid March is a great time to hunt hogs! With our low pressure, hogs move well during the day light hours in the cold winter months, and we have 100% success rate, insuring our clients a safe and successful hunt.

We have the exclusive opportunity to OFFER NIGHT HOG HUNTS during the summer months! For the first time ever we will allow hunting wild hogs at night with special lights! Wild Hogs are nocturnal creatures and move freely at night, so the hunting will be incredible!

We have maintained a 100% success rate on our winter hog hunts in the past, so we are really looking forward to continuing that success next summer! (May 15 – Aug 1) Hunts include comfortable lodging, with NO LIMIT and NO TROPHY FEES on your hogs!

Turkey hunting is serious to us at WHS! We really enjoy working with our turkey hunting clients to call that big tom into range! Only two turkey hunting guests are hunting on the property at the time, and this insures each hunter a great opportunity. Turkey hunting season is the month of April and we usually hunt both morning and afternoon, because in SC, there is no cut-off time for turkey hunting.

Our clean, comfortable hunting lodge sleeps 5 guests and features a huge living room, dining room, 2 bathrooms, full service kitchen, heat/AC, Satellite TV.
We provide all meals, lodging, transportation to and from the field, high quality stands. Hunting licenses are available on site! Transportation from the airport can be arranged for a small fee. Remember to bring your own cooler to transport your trophy home!
