High Country Hunting is located in NW Montana.
Big Country, great genetics and mild winters all add up to the best
big game hunting in over a decade!
With over 20 years of guiding hunters we have learned to combine
each hunter's strengths with our knowledge of the terrain and animals
to proved some exceptional hunting adventures.
Our hunting area is located deep in the Kootenai National Forest,
with approximately 900 square miles of permitted guiding area.
The area runs 3000-6000 feet in elevation and is heavily wooded with
many clear-cuts.
We hunt from a modern base camp with hot meals served for breakfast
and dinner and a sack lunch provided for the filed. Hot showers,
comfortable beds and a warm, clean bunkhouse to dream your night away.
After breakfast we drive to where we hunt, then hunt on foot.
We have excellent combination hunt opportunities. Come hunt
Antelope, Deer and Birds in the same trip - and experience a near 100%
success rate! Combo hunts for Elk-Deer are also available.
