Contact: Don & Angel Hibbs Phone: 207-731-8888 Location: North Central Maine, just south of Mt. Katahdin. Offering: Brook Trout, Lake Trout, Landlocked Salmon. Fish a different pond, lake or stream everyday! Fantastic wilderness fishing in Maine's fabled North Woods, the wildest country in the East! This is America's Last Frontier for wild Brook Trout! Ours are the only cabins on sparkling, spring-fed "Nahmakanta", often called Maine's most beautiful lake, and an excellent salmon and lake trout fishery. We are surrounded by an enormous roadless preserve with maintained hiking trails to a dozen backcountry lakes with brookies up to 4 pounds! Accommodations: Clean, comfortable and newly restored waterfront guests cabins and Historic 19th century main lodge. Our camp-yard is situated between two trout streams in an idyllic setting of tall shade trees, spacious green lawns, and wildflowers. From the screened porch of their cabin, guests enjoy a spectacular wilderness panorama as far as the eye can see. Except for our cabins and lodge, the Nahmakanta shoreline is entirely wild, edged with enormous granite boulders and beautiful natural sand beaches.
