McKen Hunting - Canada Elk Hunts

McKen Hunting, located just 175 miles north of the US/Canada border, offers intensively-managed big game hunting in natural habitat. We concentrate our effort on Trophy Elk but we offer limited numbers of fallow deer, whitetail deer and bison (buffalo) hunts, usually in combination with the elk hunts.

We also specialize in service. Your professional hunter/guide will make every effort to help you harvest the “best” trophy animal in your budgeted size range.  We do all the hard work, such as retrieval of the harvested animal, field dressing, caping, transport of the carcass to the butcher shop, and preparation of your cape and antlers for shipping. We focus our attention on being good – not big.

Hunting Lodge

We have a nicely appointed cabin specially built to meet the needs of our hunters: Bullrushes!  The cabin is air conditioned and electric heated for year-round comfort. It features cooking amenities, including an electric kettle, coffee maker, electric frying pan, a microwave oven and a refrigerator, as well as a wood stove a propane barbecue and a large gas camp stove.

Geese and ducks can be heard flying overhead. On many clear evenings, our clients are entreated to the mesmerizing dance of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis).

Included in your hunt is the use of our cabin, meals, transportation from air port, your professional guide, game retrieval and care and Official SCI scoring.
