Where We Hunt: Swan Mountain Outfitters is fortunate to have, based on our hunting permits, access to thousands of acres of the Flathead National Forest, in and around the famed Bob Marshall Wilderness. Hunting in western Montana takes place primarily on remote lands owned by the National Forest Service, the State of Montana, and private timber companies. Swan Mountain Outfitters leases an area approximately fifteen by twenty miles, and we are the only commercial Montana hunting outfitter with permits to hunt deer and elk in this area. Nearby towns are Condon MT, Swan Lake MT, Seeley Lake MT, Big Fork MT and Kalispell MT.
Montana Hunts Offered: All Montana big game hunting is available, but our premiere hunts are our Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer hunts. We also have excellent archery Elk, Black Bear, Goat and Mountain Lion hunting. Since 1972 Swan Mountain Outfitters has been providing excellent hunting, fishing and vacation packages. Where We Hunt: We have two camps in operation in southeastern Montana consisting of over 80,000 acres of private land that we lease the hunting rights and 50,000 acres of Custer National Forest to which we have to exclusive outfitter rights. Our hunting areas are easily accessible from Billings MT, Ekalaka MT, Mile City MT and Rapid City SD.
Montana Hunts Offered: Rifle, Archery, Pistol or Muzzleloader hunts for Mule deer, Whitetail, Antelope or Elk. We are second generation outfitters with two camps in operation to insure the finest hunting available for whitetail, mule deer, antelope and archery elk. The hunting method for each day will vary. Mornings and evenings will be spent on stand overlooking transition areas between feeding and bedding areas with the remainder of the day spent spotting, stalking, or calling depending upon the time of year (pre-rut, rut, post-rut), weather conditions, condition of the hunter, as well as species being hunted.
Hunting Lodge: With comfortable ranch style accommodations we cater to man/wife, father/son or daughter hunts with separate sleeping quarters available with full bath while still providing an excellent opportunity for a trophy class animal as our clients have won several state awards from the Montana Outfitter and Guides Association. Although we cannot guarantee you will harvest an animal we have enjoyed over 95% success on all rifle hunts since 1978.
