Where We Hunt: South Western and East Central Newfoundland - Hunting around Steele Lake and Sam's Pond.

Types of Hunts: Eastern Canadian Moose, Woodland Caribou and Black Bear hunting. Efford's Hunting Adventures offers some of the best Caribou, Moose and Bear hunting grounds in remote Newfoundland. Bob is an experienced bush pilot in Newfoundland, which enables him to determine locations for trophy animals. Our fly-in remoteness at Steele Lake provides our guests with excellent opportunity in taking taking Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young Trophies. Also, our site at Sam's Pond provides excellent opportunity for record book caribou. At Sam's Pond provide we hunt the Middle Ridge Herd of caribou that, according to biologists, are the biggest antlered herd in Newfoundland!

Hunting Lodge: Our two lodges are log construction with three double occupancy private bedrooms; hot and cold running water with showers and indoor plumbing. The lodges are heated with 12 hour burner wood stoves. A full time cook is on staff at each location to provide home cooked meals and shore lunches during the day. The menu will consist of turkey, beef, duck, steak, fish, etc. A comfortable, yet rustic get-a-way.
