Ohio River Outfitters offers trophy whitetail deer hunting
in the heart of Illinois deer hunting country. Located along the
Ohio River, our property has some of the richest agricultural
land in Southern Illinois. Add our numerous food plots of
Tecomate and Mossy Oak Biologic, and this high quality food
source, intermixed with the rolling hardwood forests, provide
some of the best whitetail habitat Illinois has to offer. Most
of our deer hunts take place in Hardin County, which is the most
rural and least populated county in Illinois. Our outfitting
service was the first in the area to manage for world class
whitetails. A Quality Deer Management system has been in effect
for the past 11 years. The time and effort put into managing for
trophy class whitetails has more than paid off for our clients.

An extremely nutritional food source of corn, soybeans, alfalfa,
clovers, and acorns along with our numerous food plots, provide
the nutrients whitetails need to reach trophy class standards.
Ohio River Outfitter property is roughly 65% hardwood
ridges, river bottoms, and swamps with the other 35% in
agricultural fields and high nutritional food plots. We take
pride in or family owned property and know that the key to
growing monster bucks has four factors: good food, good habitat,
good genetics, and good age structure. All four of these factors
have been met on Ohio River Outfitter properties. With 9,300
acres of great habitat, whitetails are able to thrive and reach
maturity.

 Deer Hunting in Illinois:
At Ohio River Outfitters we specialize in 3-5 day fully
guided hunting packages. This includes guide, meals and lodging.
Guides take you to and from your stand locations at your
request. After the hunt, guides will field dress, weigh, and
provide trophy care for your whitetail. Processing can be done
locally for a small fee or you may process your deer at the
lodge. Our guides work hard to give our hunters a safe,
challenging, yet rewarding hunt. If you are a serious hunter

Lodging
at Ohio River Outfitters:
We have just completed a new 2,750 square foot lodge for the 2006
season. It has 4 large bedrooms each with its own private bath
and shower, a kitchen, great room, big screen satellite TV, meat
processing facilities with large freezers, washer and dryer,
aerial photos, and an excellent view of the surrounding hunting
property.
We are located approximately 2 ½ hours southeast of St. Louis,
approximately 1 ½ hours southwest of Evansville, Indiana and 5 ½
hours south of Chicago.
Lodges are located overlooking the river and prime bow hunting
grounds. The atmosphere of
the lodges are comforting after a full day of bow hunting.
Local lodging is also available if you prefer.
