I
am Reinier Linde owner of Legelela Safaris. Have been hunting for
as long as I can remember, but decided about six years ago to share my
passion with other hunters. We are located in the Free State Province
of South Africa, from where we conduct hunts all over Southern Africa.
Our hunting area ranges from fast open grassland ideal for springbuck,
blesbok, black wildebeest to bushvelt area with kudu, njala & impala.
We offer some of the best wing shooting available in Southern Africa.
Best hunting season for pigeon is from March to June. Dove hunting can
be done throughout the year. On dove and pigeon hunts you can expect to
shoot between 300 and 1500 shells per day. Game bird season is from 1st
of May to 31st of August. South Africa offers a large number of game
birds:
guinea-fowl, fran colin, Egyptian goose, spur wing goose, and many more. |

Reinier or one of the Professional Hunters in the team. You will be
accompanied to the fire-arm department and assisted to get your
import permit. From there, travel to the hunting area. If good light
permits, rifles will be set, ready for your first hunting day. You
will enjoy first-class service and Africa hunting during your stay
and on completion of the safari you will be taken to the airport.
Trophy fees available upon requests.
Weather is not predictable, but our rain season
starts September and normally ends March. Spring and summer has mild
to very warm days and mild evenings. April to August are our autumn
and winter months. You can expect cool to moderate days with very
cold evenings and mornings. Comfortable, lightweight clothes (caci,
cam mo) is suitable for your trip. Warm jackets, good ankle height
boots are important for the hunt. Laundry will be done. South Africa
has a good infrastructure, roads, healthcare etc. Highly skilled skinners will take care of the field preparation of
the trophies. Capes and skins are salted to ensure that they reach
the taxidermy in the best of shape. This is all included in your
daily rate. Excluded are: The taxidermy work, crating and the export
costs.
