Streater Ranch is now offering Exotic Game Hunting. The beautiful Streater Ranch has been in our family since 1895. It is located in the northern edge of the beautiful Texas hill country, about 2.5 hours northwest of Austin, TX. The rolling terrain with a mix of semi-open prairie and scattered to dense brush in the river bottom land allows us to provide a hunt as challenging as desired. We offer several varieties of Exotic Rams including Mouflon, Corsican, Painted Desert, Texas Dall and also Black Buck and Oryx. Whether you want to stand hunt with a legal weapon of choice, spot and stalk safari style, or still hunt the brush, your guide will make every effort to ensure the hunt will be enjoyable and successful.

Game Management is a priority at Streater Ranch Exotics. A high protein supplemental feeding program is used year round to maximize the trophy potential of all animals on the ranch. Livestock has not been on the ranch since 1999. A brush control and reseeding program has been implemented, allowing the native grass to approach climax condition in many areas. We receive about 35 inches average annual rainfall with an average annual temperature of 70 degrees. The ranch supports a large variety of native wildlife such as whitetail deer, turkey, quail, dove, and varmints along with the animals on the ranch. Four stock ponds provide largemouth bass, hybrid bluegill and channel cat opportunities. All are included in the hunting fee. |
