Striper Fishing AKA Striped Bass Fishing

Striped Bass are commonly found on the eastern coastline from South Carolina all the way up to Nova Scotia. On the west coast, from the San Francisco Bay all the way up the coastline. Striped Bass are migratory, so they live on the coastlines and migrate in to freshwater to spawn. There is a spring and fall migration, and that’s when the Striper Fishing gets good! Just like landlocked Salmon, Stripers live and thrive in freshwater lakes, rivers and streams as well.

There are also Hybrid Striped Bass – It’s easy to tell if you’ve caught a Hybrid Striped Bass because the stripes are broken. The Hybrid Striper is raised and released from many fisheries and makes for some excellent fishing action AND delicious meals!

It took almost 2 hours to land that Striped Bass! Striped Bass are known for putting up a great fight! They take the bait and run and will fight like a wild cat until you bring them in.
