breeds would include Red Bone, Blue Tick or Black and Tan
hounds. These hound dogs have incredible noses and
boundless energy - which is what it takes to tree a big Tom!
One dog can have more energy than 10 hunters, and even more than
the Mountain Lions!
It is an expensive and time-consuming proposition to maintain
and transport a pack of talented Cougar hunting hounds!
The dogs must be trained to be good trackers, and the off season
is spent in this endeavor. For this reason, most hunters
