Terry Pollard with Bald Mountain Outfitters has been in the Outfitting /
Guiding business in Wyoming for over 45 years and can offer you that

The species that we hunt in the Pinedale area and the Bridger
Wilderness include Elk, Mule Deer, Shiras Moose, Pronghorn, Black
Bear, and Big Horn Sheep. In addition, we hunt Whitetail
Deer, Mule Deer, Wild Turkey, and Antelope in the Black Hills of
Northeastern Wyoming. |

Guided Wyoming Elk Hunts
The Bridger Wilderness Area continues to produce some of the best
Trophies and the highest Bull:Cow ratios in the state. We hunt
nearly exclusively in the Bridger Wilderness and I can offer the
advantage of two Deluxe Base Camps, high Wilderness spike camps or
Day Use Hunting from the town of Pinedale. Our Base Camps are among
the most deluxe and comfortable camps that you will experience.
We Generally have two chances for that elk license, one in
January and the other in July. The archery season will generally be
from Sept. 1-30 with rifle seasons running from Sept. 20 through
Oct. 31st, and cow elk (only) seasons running from Nov. 1-6 |

Shiras Moose Hunts, Wyoming
Our Moose population continues to thrive and I am happy to report
that we are sighting & harvesting some tremendous bulls! We provide
both a Wilderness Horseback Hunt and a Private Lands Hunt, depending
on your specific hunt area drawn and your personal preferences. We
again saw a 100% kill success in 2009 and took the largest Bull
Moose that we have ever taken – testament to our Moose population,
hunt areas and guiding ability. Your Wilderness Horseback Hunt will
be conducted from our Wilderness Spike Camps, and Base Camp. Your
Private Lands Hunt will be conducted from either our Bunk House of
from one of our local Motels.

Whitetail Deer & Mule Deer Hunts in Wyoming
Have you been looking for a Trophy Mule Deer Buck? Now is
the time and the Wind Rivers, Bridger Wilderness is the place! The
hunting will be early season, mostly high altitude, difficult
hunting, but the bucks are here and we have the knowledge to produce
a shot at them. Our deer have been in a building phase for the past
five years. Although the total herd numbers still have some room for
improvement, our Buck to doe ratios and the number of truly Trophy
type bucks have never been better. Hunts will be conducted from our
Base Camp or our High Wilderness Spike Camp.
Our Whitetail Deer hunts are provided on private property,
conducted during the pre-rut and rut. Lodging is provided in a
comfortable 3-bedroom ranch house. Licenses are 100% available
via the March license drawing plus we have been enjoying available
leftover licenses in July. |

Birdger Wilderness Pack Trips and Fishing Adventures
We are pleased to let you know that my daughter,
Nycole Pollard (Wyoming Guide of the Year for 2006), will again be
Ram Roding our summer activities and will be joined by my wife
Barbara and our dedicated professional staff. Our season will start
May 1 with Antler Hunting and will end with our Hunting Season
beginning on September 15. |
